Этот стиль, возникший в Манчестере во второй половине 80-х годов прошлого века, характеризуется смешением рока, психоделии и хауса. Расцвет жанра приходится на 1988-1992, после чего его «похоронили» брит-поп и гранж. Тем не менее, смешение танцевальной и гитарной музыки до сих увлекает новые группы. Такой подход бесконечно радует и меня. Мы послушаем 40 прекрасных позабытых банд той эпохи. В довесок прикрепляю первую часть компиляции, которая звучала на радио «Курс» в 2008 году. В отличие от второй части, на ней собраны самые популярные герои madchester-а.
